Description:
In part 1 of this two-part “refresher” series, John and Wally discuss common pitfalls they have encountered in customer hierarchy design and configuration. Examples of the topics covered in part 1 are:
  • Site architecture
  • Configure SQL properly
  • Backup & restore ConfigMgr
  • Virtual site servers/site systems “gotchas”
  • Boundary configuration (many changes here in the past 2 years)
  • Maintenance task configuration in the real world
  • SQL licensing for ConfigMgr 

What you will learn:
  • How to avoid common site architecture mistakes
  • Installing, configuring and backing up SQL for ConfigMgr
  • How boundaries have changed in current branch
  • SQL licensing questions that were "grey areas" are now black and white
